Midfielder Gareth Whalley has opened talks over a move to Ninian Park following his release by Bradford City.
The 28-year-old left-sided player arrived in South Wales last night to open negotiations over a move to Division Two in a bid to kick-start his career.
Whalley was released by Bradford when his Valley Parade contract expired at the end of last season, and was not among the 16 squad members whose deals were terminated when the club were placed into administration earlier this summer.
Almost an ever-present in The Bantams' promotion campaign in 1998-1999, Whalley failed to establish himself in the Premiership, and spent a spell on loan with former club Crewe last season.
